Cado system and kitchen updates
After months of searching, we finally found a Cado system. I kept getting outbid on the systems I found on Ebay and so I looked to Craigslist. I searched Phoenix craiglist to no avail. Then I decided to go through every city listed on Craigslist. I went through Flagstaff-nothing! Then I got to Tucson...GOLDMINE!!!!! Listed in Sierra Vista for $500 was a teak Cado system. We got to the house after driving for 3 hours and the system had paint all over it and one of the shelves had been cut in half, which meant it wouldn't work with the system anymore. So I pretended to cry and made a pounty face to Matt. And the seller said, "Make me an offer." I looked over the system and told her I'd take it for $400. Out the door with a system needing work, we drove home, sanded the poles and Matt installed it. We still need a few more shelves or something decorative to put in the middle of the unit....
Here is a view of the Cado upclose.
The living room is starting to feel more like I hoped it would. Comfy and pulled together.
Our new 6' long teak coffee table we got on Ebay.
Updated kitchen photo...we took the microwave and the misc. appliances off the counter, to show off the backplash and new under-cabinet lighting.

Bubble chairs are glorious
I am so in love with our bubble chairs. Imagine swaying in a comfy hammock...but inside! They are so groovy and chic. I moved one of my lamps in the room, and it picked up the silver in the cushions.
We got 2 little TV tables from Ikea for $12.99 each. They serve as laptop tables and ottomans for the bubble chairs.
I love that this living room is connected to the kitchen...
Our new dining room spot is sorta coming together. I am debating keeping Elvis on the wall. He's really nice to look at. I have to get a rad dining light fixture ans some table accents and the space should feel more formal. I bought the rug for the living room, but decided to keep the celery colored one in the room instead. I was getting ready to throw the rug in the back of my car, when I decided to put it under the table. I think it helps define the space. The vase was in my office, and I thought it would match Elvis, so I brought it out.
Still more work to be done in the kitchen, but it's almost done!!!

Got one of our 3 new couches...
We finally got 1 of our 3 new couches in the mail on Tuesday. We ordered the daybed from Urban Outfitters like 2.5 months ago. The darn thing was backordered for quite some time. We still have more work to do in this room, but we will definitely be using the space more now. Before, our dining room table just hogged all the space. Here 's the after and the before shots:
