Comparison #1-exterior front
The new exterior paint, Intercostal by Glidden, is as close to the original paint color as we could find. Intercoastal is not quite as blue as the original color. Our accent colors are white for the roofline, beams, and posts and red-orange for the doors and entry planter. It took us almost 7 months to decide what we wanted to do with the front fence-keep it or tear it down. We decided to make the fence our own by making the wrought iron less decorative, more modern. We then bondo-ed the fence and painted it with rust-resistant paint in a metallic aluminum shade. We ended up moving or removing plants and trees that blocked the view of the roofline. We opted to keep the 4 big trees in front of the house for their shade qualities. The house when we first viewed it was FUGLY. It is still far from being a cool house, but we're making progress. All I have to do is look at photos from 8 months ago to realize just how far we've come.
