Living Room Transformation

We aren't even close to being done with anything inside, but we have made a lot of progress.

Here is a photo of the living room when we first saw the house.

Here is a photo right before our appraisal. This is when I first discovered the cat-piss parquet...not your average-smelling parquet floors, fo sho.

Here is when Matt opened up the wall between the living room and dining room. We had just taken out the cat-piss parquet flooringWe had to remove all the gold-flecked popcorn ceilings and painted wall-paper, to achieve the smooth wall texture we were after. We skimcoated the walls and ceilings, then painted white. We still don't know if we should leave the walls white, or add some accent colors like light teal or dark brown.

The pebble flooring went down in June 05 and we were on a roll.
