Kitchen Selections...

We researched many solid surface countertops and decided to go with SileStone. We are using the Stellar Night color, which is black with mirror-like chips throughout. It is gorgeous!!!

We are going to use a exotic wood veneer called Bubinga for the cabinets, drawers, pantry, and island. I guess we are buying raw veneer and using a vacuum press to adhere the veneer. Bubinga is a medium-colored wood, so we will be applying a slight color for more depth, but then we are going to clear-laquer them to finish.
